The tryouts for the 2012 USA Ladies Team were held on Friday, July 13, 2012, the day after the end of the 2012 USA Rink Hockey National Championships. Some 20 plus ladies started the camp at 7:00am to choose the Team to participate at the 2012 Ladies Rink Hockey World Championships in Recife, Brazil, November 10th through the 17th.

The Ladies chosen for the Team in alphabetical order were:

Kimberly Hughes, Kylie Hughes, Lisa Joosten, Autumn Lee, Kennedy Lee, Sarah Molloy, Cielidh Sligh, Elaine Trussell
Goalies in alphabetical order are: Elizabeth Harmon, Bethany Near, Danielle Walter
Alternates in their numbered order are: Sheena Schmelcher, Shanelle Enlow, Sheree Enlow

2012 Vern Binz Memorial Club Mix Final Results

Our fundraising event, the Vern Binz Memorial Club Mix brought to a close the 2012 USA Rink Hockey National Championships. Overall, it was a great week of hockey for everyone to participate in, watch and enjoy. A great big “THANK YOU” to all of the referees, timekeepers, and people behind the scenes that made our Championship a great success. You guys did a great job, even though you cannot please anyone. I would also like to express our gratitude to the staff and management of the Riverside YMCA in Cumberland. You have a fine facility and your extra efforts made the week of hockey enjoyable.

The 2012 edition of the USA Rink Hockey National Championships came to an exciting end on Thursday evening. After a full week of intense and entertaining competition, our Champions were crowned in the five final divisions.

The heat has let up a little outside, but it has really started heating up in the Riverside YMCA Facility in Cumberland, Maryland at the 2012 USA Rink Hockey National Championships. Sunday’s Vern Binz Memorial Club Mix Results

 The Vern Binz Memorial Club Mix is a club oriented tournament used to raise funds for the Rink Hockey World Men’s, Ladies and Junior Teams. The rules are set up to make the teams fairly even and make the matches fun.

The first night of the tournament looked like a lot of fun for the crowd as well as for the players involved. Keep up the good work and lots of luck to you all.

 It may be 105 degrees outside, but the real heat is on inside the Cumberland Riverside YMCA facility in Cumberland, Maryland, the site of the 2012 USA Rink Hockey National Championship Tournament being held from July 7th through July 13th. Thirty- three Teams have gotten together to battle each other and try to claim a National Championship Title in one or more of the eight different Rink Hockey Divisions.

Sunday, the first day of competition, was full of exciting and entertaining rink hockey matches. All eight Divisions were represented throughout the day full of Rink Hockey at it’s finest.
